Background
Ms. Isadore received her Masters in Public Health from Boston University in 1995. For the last ten years she has worked as an infectious disease epidemiologist for the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH) and a program manager for the Harvard School of Public Health (HSPH). As Morbidity Coordinator for the MDPH Division of Epidemiology and Immunization Ms. Isadore was responsible for oversight of all Epidemiology Program morbidity-related activities including foodborne illness investigations; development of protocols for infectious disease surveillance, control and prevention; developing, designing, creating and presenting infectious disease training materials for various audiences including healthcare professionals, public health professionals and the general public; and communicating to health professionals and the general public regarding risk, prevention and control of communicable disease. As an epidemiologist, Ms. Isadore conducted case and outbreak investigations of infectious diseases; established and maintain communicable disease surveillance systems by reviewing case investigations and laboratory reports, initiating in-depth investigations as necessary; developed and was co-author of an interactive web course on shiga-toxin producing E. coli for laboratorians; was an active member of the state's Working Group on Foodborne Illness Control; and supervised the development, production, and state-wide distribution of written and visual health education materials for the prevention and control of vaccine and non-vaccine preventable diseases.
As Program Manager for the Harvard Malaria Initiative of the HSPH, Ms. Isadore managed multiple overseas grant programs including fiscal oversight of program activities; program liaison with donor agencies; supervision of program staff and program activities, and completion of annual grant applications and progress reports.
Ms. Isadore is currently providing public health consulting services including food safely consultation and inspectional services.
