The Home Study Version of our Managers Food Protection Class makes it easy to prepare for one of the Certification Exams needed to become Certified. This course will include a textbook, supplements and a DVD rental of one of our live seminars. Please be aware that you must take and pass an exam to become certified. These online classes prepare you for that exam. The two exams we offer that are widely accepted and ANSI approved are the ServSafe exam and the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals ( NRFSP) exam. |
The Home Study Course is available in 2 different versions:
ServSafe: includes the ServSafe Essentials First Edition Textbook (180 pages) which is the most complete Managers Certification Resource in print, with practice exam and activities, and a rental DVD of our live Food Protection Classes. The Textbook is available in English, Spanish, Chinese and Korean while the DVD is only available in English. The book is yours to keep but you must return the DVD within 2 weeks to avoid surcharges.

Price of the ServSafe course is $85 plus a $20 refundable deposit on the DVD.
NEHA (National Environmental Health Association): includes the NEHA Certified Professional Food Manager Textbook (125 Pages) is a bit easier reading than the servSafe version above, nor which is the most complete Managers Certification Resource in print, with practice exam and activities, and a rental DVD of our live Food Protection Classes. The book is available in English and Spanish while the DVD is only available in English. The book is yours to keep but you must return the DVD within 2 weeks to avoid surcharges.

Exams: You can take an exam at one of our classes here in the Boston area or at over 1100 testing sites nationwide. The cost for an exam is $100

Please be aware that you must take and pass an exam approved by your jurisdiction to become officially certified.
This home Study Course prepares you for that exam but it does not certify you. The two exams we offer that are widely accepted and ANSI approved are the ServSafe exam and the National Registry of Food Safety Professionals ( NRFSP) exam. The ServSafe exams are available at our live seminars or online in our Boston Office. The NRFSP exam is available at over 1,000 testing center locations nationwide. You can choose between the online or paper exam formats. Results from the online exams are available immediately and the paper exam results are available in two weeks. All Exams must be administered by an approved proctor.
The Price of an Exam is $100
We also offer a conventional classroom and an online version of our classes which are approved in most jurisdictions.
