Managers Food Protection Certification Exams
ServSafe - NRSFP
Every State and Local government that requires certification for managers will require a certification exam by one of the 3 ANSI approved exams: ServSafe; National Registry of Food Safety Professionals (NRFSP); and Prometric. Berger Food Safety uses both the ServSafe and the NRSFP Exams. The ServSafe exams can be taken in either print based or online versions. The NRSFP exam is print based can be taken at our Boston office or at testing centers through out the country. Both Exams must be administered by an approved proctor. The standard written exams are shipped back to the testing centers for grading and it take about 2 weeks to get results returned to our office. The online exam results are available immediately.
Written Examinations
The cost of these exams are included with our open classes but are not included with the Online or Home Study courses. The price of the exam is $100 when purchased separately. To register for one of our written exams use the "register now" button below, find the the date and location convenient for you and choose the option: "test only, no class, lunch, or book" this will register you for a written exam. The cost is $100 and the exam starts 2 hours prior to the end of class (for most classes that means 3 pm).Feel free to call us as well at 617-445-1647.
Online & Emergency Certification Exams
We offer the ServSafe Online Certification Exams for those who need to be certified in a hurry. The results are available immediately. The standard written exams are shipped to the National Testing Center and typically take 2 weeks to get results returned to our office. The online exam eliminates this delay. The exam must be proctored by a ServSafe Instructor which is included in the fees listed below. You should feel comfortable using a computer if you would like to use the online exam. It takes most people 1-2 hours to complete the exam. Some state and county regulations require actual training in addition to passing the exam. Rhode Island for instance requires an initial training of 15 hours and passing the exam. Massachusetts however, does not require that you take a class but you must pas an exam. Please check with your local health department to be sure this option is valid in your area.
There are 2 ways to take this exam:
At Our Office: $100 per student.
At Your Office: $300 for the first student, $100 per student for each additional student taking the exam at the same time. All we need is an internet connection and a computer for each examinee.
